SIN CITY

Slipping into bestial mentality
Stripped of own identity
Piercing thru the heart of tranquility
Vanquished the once-thought resilient civility

The neon lights of the city
Glares with a mournful piety
Strobe lights tango with the flirty
Swaggering into a Bachalian party

I was barred from entry
Forced to retire to a deserted vicinity
To suffer for eternity
The pangs of solitary cruelty

Wandering without identity
Forsaken by my deity -
The repository of all beauties -
I long for my city

Crime of Passion

Kill me with your smile
Murder me with your glance
Don't wake me in my trance
I long long for this time

I am a fugitive from my heart
By denying your majestic presence
My feeling i tried to outsmart
But you murder me with your glance

This is crazy, i keep telling myself
There's a remedy, a ready help
It's unfair, it's a crime
But you kill me with your smile

Residues

Drifting nowhere
Rotating ever
In a perspective of impotence
Life's stripped of importance

If a stork strays away from its course
Will it still reach its destination point?
Will it remain happy along the way?
And confronts handily challenges' sway?

Is there something wrong?
Behind the facade of superficiality
Comfort in banality
One among the faceless throng.....

When libertarianism is thrown at the nearest cliff
And big brother emerges from the bottomless pit
Will perspective careen and sideswipe
So dear and precious my life?

Circa 2005

Splatter in the Canvass

Dawn ruptures the darkening doldrums
Calming the listless souls with redeeming dews
Washing the curse of eternal damnation but
I struggled to open my eyes and confront the stark reality
Thinking that tomorrow and next days you'll be gone
Home without ever seeing you again my
Queen of my thousand and one memories
Intersecting our lives now, light years apart later
Nothing is permanent. Breaks my heart to bid
Goodbye, betting for improbable chance encounters.....
Longing for your presence, your measured kiss
I suffer the agony as I await next day's dawn
